CustomCells collaborates with Enevate to scale up advanced battery technology globally

CustomCells, a leader in premium battery technology, today announces a production license agreement with California-based company Enevate. This partnership marks a significant stride in bringing Enevate’s groundbreaking XFC-Energy® silicon-dominant battery technology to the European and global markets, especially in the electric vehicles (EVs) and mobility sectors.

Battery development and industrialization accelerator CustomCells is gearing up to extend its production in the coming years, targeting gigawatt-hour (GWh) capacities for diverse applications. The agreement with Enevate, a battery innovation company based in California, USA, marks an important step in CustomCells’ ongoing efforts to innovate and industrialize premium battery technology on a global scale. The German battery pioneer has successfully constructed cells using Enevate’s advanced silicon-dominant battery technology and engaged in joint commercial dialogues with top OEMs in the e-mobility domain.

Ten times faster charging

Enevate’s silicon-dominant battery technology, known for its ultra-fast charging capabilities, aligns with CustomCells’ commitment to innovation and sustainability. The technology boasts up to ten times faster charging than traditional lithium-ion batteries, alongside high energy densities, enhanced safety, cost-effectiveness, superior low-temperature performance, and a reduced carbon footprint. Notably, Enevate’s technology is compatible with existing battery manufacturing infrastructure, eliminating the need for new capital-intensive processes.

Accelerating the industrialization of high-silicon anode technology
